Pellevé is designed for wrinkle reduction with the use of radiofrequency technology, building up heat where the skin and fat layers meet. It can be used to treat a myriad of areas, including:
- Nasolabial folds, or smile lines
- Lines between the eyebrows
- Lines on the forehead
- Wrinkles around the mouth, such as marionette lines
- Loose skin around the eyes
- Crow’s feet
Pellevé can also reduce the appearance of cellulite in the thighs and butt. At least four treatments a month a part are required for optimal results.
What Happens During Pellevé Treatment?
During the Pellevé procedure, a handheld radiofrequency device is moved over the face while emitting an RF wave. This RF wave creates a build-up of heat below the skin’s surface, stimulating collagen, elastin, and addressing fine lines and wrinkles. The procedure is quite straightforward, and takes less than an hour to complete.
How does Pellevé work?
Tightening Facial Skin
The RF frequency from the device breaks down collagen beneath the skin, causing them to contract. As a result, they stimulate the growth of replacement collagen cells, creating tighter, firmer skin and reducing the appearance of wrinkles.
There may be some redness following treatment due to the heat, but there is no downtime and you are free to continue your normal activities immediately following the procedure.
Reduction of Cellulite
To address cellulite, a different hand-held device is used. It delivers RF waves to the surface of the skin, heating up the surrounding fluids and causing them to move and be processed through the body’s lymphatic system.
In order to properly break down the fluid causing the so-called “cottage cheese,” we recommend a series of bi-weekly treatments. It should be known there is no downtime after these treatments, and you can resume normal activities immediately.
Other uses Pellevé Treatment?
In addition to the above applications, Pellevé can also be used to address moles or other unwanted growths. During your consultation, Montilla Plastic Surgery will address any concerns that apply.
